This is a sleek-looking
digital diary with a large touch screen and a provision for PC connectivity.
It runs on two AAA-size batteries and weighs approximately 150 grams.
The
diary is easy to use. You can use the action wheel on the top right corner,
which has its own menu, to view and store information. The diary also comes
with a pen, which you can use to click on various icons on its LCD panel to
access the scheduler, contacts, memo, etc. You can also password protect
information in any of the categories.
You can type in text using
the keyboard that pops up on the panel. The keyboard has many features like
auto complete to complete words for you, capitalizing the names and
beginnings of sentences, etc.
The Casio Pocket Viewer is
positioned for mobile people who need to retrieve information quickly and
easily, and need tools like calculator, world clock, and metric conversions
at their disposal. It can connect to a PC through a software called PC-Sync
for Windows. The diary comes with a cradle that connects to your PC’s
serial port. All you need to do is place the diary in its cradle and press a
button on it to synchronize data between the two.
The diary comes with two card
games. It’s available in 2 MB and 4 MB memory versions. However, the
documentation could have been better with a more extensive troubleshooting
guide.
Overall, the product is quite
user friendly and is well priced.
