What is ChatGPT?

In essence, ChatGPT is a crude depiction of how AI appears to consumers. One of the most sophisticated AI chatbots ever created, built around a genuine language model and OpenAI, enables users to talk and ask questions with humanlike processing. Though AI models still have a long way to go before they can completely replace factual sources, Microsoft even employs it as the foundation for its Bing Chat service due to its sophisticated nature.

Obviously, it hasn't been available natively on mobile devices for a long time, though some third-party developers have tried their hand at it and the majority of users use web browsers. Presently, OpenAI has declared that its ChatGPT model is currently accessible on the Application Store for iOS, with a little mark hanging out for Android clients.

What the future holds for OpenAI is unknown, but it shouldn't be too far off. We anticipate that the Android app will have the same structure as the iOS app that is currently available. GPT-4, a more advanced and powerful version of the language model, and quicker response times will be available to paid subscribers.

In addition, free users will be able to sync across multiple devices and access the company's voice recognition software, Whisper. In essence, the app offers everything previously possible in a native app.

All of this is in line with Google's plan to expand its AI presence with its new Labs, which include Duet AI and generative AI in Google Search. Although AI in Search should theoretically make for a good source of information provided that the language model is able to distinguish between fact and fiction, these functions are not exactly chatbots.
