This 15” LCD Monitor from CMV comes with 2-watt inbuilt stereo speakers that can be used to listen to some light music. It’s pretty sleek and lightweight, weighing just 3.3 kg. Its bezel has a small footprint, so it won’t take much space on the desktop. It’s a barebones model having all the basic set of features necessary for the end user. It has the standard analog interface for connecting to a PC. It supports a contrast ratio of 400:1 and brightness of 400 cadilas per meter square. The monitor can’t be rotated horizontally and can only be tilted 0 to 30 degrees upwards. Its horizontal and vertical viewing angle is 140 and 120 degrees respectively. While the picture quality is pretty good, its brightness appears slightly lowerwhen viewing from wide angles.

The monitor consumes 48 Watts of power, which is slightly high for a 15” LCD monitor. It has all the basic controls like brightness, contrast, color, position and volume control for the speakers on the screen display. One good option here is to automatically adjust the picture on your screen, but you can’t save these settings. Features similar to the CMV 1515 include a .297 mm pixel pitch, and a response time of 15ms. However it only supports 16 million colors, while the CMV 1515 supports 16.7 million. We used a SiS chipset based Xabre 400 graphics card with 64 MB video RAM for testing. The monitor gave sharp and clear picture quality at all resolutions. Overall, it’s a good entry-level LCD monitor that can be used by offices with a space constraint and for people spending long hours in front of the screen.
