In a joint collaboration, Indian retail chain Croma and Intel India on Thursday July 31 launched two Windows based tablets, Croma 1179 (8-inch) and Croma 1177 (10.1-inch) at Rs 13,990 and Rs 21,990 respectively.
The first tablet, Croma 1179 is an 8-inch tablet with a screen resolution of 1280x800 and is powered by Intel Atom Z3735D processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. It has a 2GB RAM and an on-board storage of 32GB that can be further expanded with a microSD card. The tablet runs on Windows 8.1, packs a 5000mAh Lithium Polymer battery and comes with connectivity options like 3G dongle and Wi-Fi. There are 2MP rear and front cameras for pictures and video calling.
Croma 1177 is a 10.1-inch 2-in-1 device that can be used as a tablet and a mini laptop when attached to a dock keyboard that comes in the package. It is also powered by an Intel Atom Z3735D processor coupled with 2GB RAM and runs on Windows 8.1 OS. The tablet is 3G and Wi-Fi enabled with 2MP rear and front cameras. Croma 1177 comes with 32GB inbuilt memory that is further expandable up-to 128GB with a microSD card. You have to shed Rs 21,990 for this 2-in-1 device.
Both the tablets offers one year free subscription of Microsoft Office 365 and will be available on all Croma retail stores throughout the country and also on Croma's official website. The tablets will also be available on other E-commerce websites in near future.
