After photos and video sharing, it's now the turn of screen sharing on social
networks. That essentially sums up what CrossLoop does. All you require is the
CrossLoop application at all desktops that need to share each others' screens.
Using this app, you can ask for help from other Crossloop users and if you want
to use your expertise to help others with their problems, then you can create
your credentials profile online, which others can access and hence could get
back to you.

Crossloop uses the plug-in of the popular remote control package, Tight VNC
to provide screen sharing. All data that is transferred between two machines is
encrypted using 128-bit Blowfish symmetric encryption algorithm. It also
supports file transfers between two machines and you can even switch controls.
The only drawback of the application is that it's only available for Windows. We
installed it on two different machines running Windows Vista and Windows XP
respectively. Both machines were residing on two separate networks. Installation
was simple. Once installed the software generates a unique access code, which is
required by other users with whom you want to share your screen. This code just
ensures that you share your screen with known users only. When we shared screen
with the remote machine, we found the performance to be just fine.
Bottomline: A decent screen sharing solution and
the fact that you need not to spend money to use it is a plus
