Currency Note Ban: Why cashnocash.com is More No Cash Than Cash

Social media is abuzz with messages about different sites that could help solve the biggest challenge every Indian is facing today in the aftermath of currency note ban — cash withdrawal! One such website name that has come up is cashnocash.com. The site simply asks for your pincode and promises to  return the list of ATMs nearby with guess what—fully loaded cash!

We instantly hit the URL on our browser sitting at our office in Sec-32 Gurugram, only to be shown a list of ATMs from as far away as sector 4 all the way upto sector 45. The ones that are in immediate proximity and that we have been using since long are surprisingly missing from this list.

Such an aberration reveals that such sites are still works in progress and are right now cashing in on user curiosity rather than providing really worthy advice. Moreover, their source of information on the availability of cash in nearby ATMs is another subject for debate, best left for some other day!
