Cyberoam CR 25i

This is meant especially for remote office or SOHO. It has four 100 Mbps

ports which can be configured for LAN, WAN, and DMZ. It provides 1,30,000

concurrent sessions. Like 1500i, you can have multiple administrators to

administer of different group of users.

The results were good as compared to other UTMs in the shootout. The

anti-virus caught 90% of the virus from the list of 1000 viruses, which is

really a good. But like other Cyberoam UTMs, this UTM also performed average in

detecting macro viruses. In the anti-spam, it performed well by detecting 86% of

spams. The result of both anti-virus and anti-spam were better than that of

ZyXEL UGS 200. Next, we tried port blocking which the device failed to block. We

ran Arpspoof which the device didnot detect. Then we ran DOS attack & port scan

which the device successfuly detected.

Bottomline: Considering its features and performance, this device is

good for SOHO.
