This book is aimed at strengthening the base of those who are into software programming and is also a good reference for the computer science engineering students.

The book is divided in two parts for better understanding. The first part of the book explains Java basics and OOP (Object Oriented Programming) concepts in short.

After reading this book you can learn to create standard data structures algorithms using the Object Oriented Programming concepts. There are several Java examples to demonstrate data structures.

In addition to this, there are assignments at the end of each chapter. The second part of the book explores software engineering concepts such as design hrough UML and software testing (white box, black box and object oriented).applications which is one of the hottest application. Two case studies are demonstrated to enable you to relate to the concepts learnt. Visual representations of the concepts helps in better undersatnding of the same. The book ends with a chapter for getting an idea of external storage devices. The chapter then goes on to explain streaming in java and object serialization.
