New Update

Dell entered the tablet space in India this year with Android and Windows devices in different form factors and pricing. Venue 8 Pro is the Windows option available in 8 inch form. Powered by Intel chipset and 2 GB RAM the tablet offer crisp, smooth and responsive touch display with HD quality. Running on Windows 8.1 the Metro UK is ably supported by touch feature and Windows physical button at the top-right for easy access to Menu options. Log-in via Microsoft account and the tablet functions like a full-fledged Windows PL albeit in a smaller form factor.

The tablet scored 8795 on 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme making it a competent device with wrap his capability. The tablet offers expandable 32 GB storage which may suffice for a normal tablet but you will be better served with external USB drive. Venue 8 Pro is built keeping in mind Dell's design ideology. The slate is crammed underneath matte finish material and makes for one sturdy 8 inch device, in fact best in the class for us. Moving on, you have a 5 MP basic rear camera sans flash and 1.3 MP front camera for video calling. Both are meant for basic imaging purpose and nothing beyond that should be worth it. The tablet supports external 3G dongle which is a necessary addition for markets like India where reliance on external device is more due to lack of Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Last but not the least, the slate carries powerful hardware that is well complimented by the power horse battery which will last you for more than 9 hours on actual usage. The tablet lasted for more than 5 hours on Imtec Battery Mark which translates to over 9 hours in real time scenario.
