Tests and results
We tested process DataUndeleter USB on Win XP (x32) and it was able to
recover 1 GB of data within a minute. We also deleted a partition of 30 GB and
within 30 minutes, using the Full Scan mode we were able to recover the lost
data. With its simple wizard, we were able to save it on the USB itself. We
also tried to boot from USB in Fedora 10 in an x86 based PC and though we were
able to boot and see the lost drives, we were not able to detect drive that
contained the lost data as the UnDeleter showed to many options.
In the Welcome screen, select the recovery data option and proceed with scanning the drives. |
In case of Windows XP, DataUndeleter wizard automatically
pops up but in case of Windows Vista and Windows 7, you can run the wizard
through the DUL.exe under the \Resources path in the USB drive. In case the PC
is not booting up then, you can simply boot from the USB by changing the BOOT
priority in BIOS.

Bottomline: Good
performance, user-friendly but is little expensive.
After scanning the data, simply choose the 'Save to' option and select your desired location. |
