New Update

General public in Andhra Pradesh had been facing problems in submitting

grievances to the District Collector. They spent a lot of time, money and faced

problems in traveling to the district head quarters from faraway places spread

across the state. Once these grievances had been submitted, people faced many

problems to even know the status of the grievance petition submitted by them.

Also the officials faced a lot of misery in tracking various grievances

submitted to them, compiling information and providing feedback to the public on

the grievances submitted.

Sixteen district collectors' offices in Andhra Pradesh have now been equipped

with "PRAJAVANI". Prajavani is a free web based software being used to submit

public grievances by the district administration and to monitor the action on

those by the district officers. It is an effective tool which allows the

district collector to monitor the performance of various departments on the

action being taken and generate reports with respect to the grievances submitted

by the public. Availability of the rural e-seva centers and at the District

Collector, have facilitated capturing the grievance information at Local Tahsil/Mandal

Level. This has made it easy for them to submit their grievance to the

Administration. The general public need not travel all the way to District

Collectorate for submission of the grievance petition, to the district head

quarters. After submission of the grievance, the status can be known to them

through Internet.
