One great feature of this motherboard is its graphical BIOS, also known as Intel Visual BIOS. Although, this is not the first motherboard with this feature; the ECS H61H2—A2 motherboard, reviewed by us in the May 2012 issue, also had graphics BIOS to ease the process of tuning your machine, and over clocking it. The BIOS interface of DZ77GA-70K is far better and much easy to understand and navigate than ECS H61H2-A2. This motherboard also features 'Back-to-BIOS' switch which would boot your DZ77GA-70K BIOS the moment you restart it. This feature was also present in the Intel DX79SI board we reviewed in May 2012. Other notable features of this board include Dual Gig LAN, HDMI, 4 USB 3.0, and 4 SATA 6 Gbps ports. The DZ77GA-70K has 4 DIMM slots that support DDR3-1800 memory. It also gets plenty of connectivity features due to the presence of 5 PCI expansion slots (of each size). The box that we received also includes an unconventional looking Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6250 desktop wireless adapter that fits into the PCI-express x1 slot, and the regular Bluetooth adapter 6250 supports 802.11n standard, and comes with external two antennas that can operate in two bands. However, we missed the VGA port, which means this board is built to be used with a separate graphics card.

Bottomline: With a graphical BIOS, this motherboard is high both on performance and features.
