Based on the latest 802.11n draft standard, this router is future ready. The
feature that catches your eye instantly is the number of wireless antennas used:
three antennas enhance the range of this device over similar products. Another
point worth mentioning is the ease of installation. Connect this device to your
computer using an Ethernet cable and browse to default IP address (192.168.2.1).
Now, log in using 'admin' as user name and '1234' as password. Once inside the
router, one can easily configure this device. Besides, the ease of
configuration, an additional feature included in this device is 'EZView' that
allows it to be managed remotely via Internet. WPS or Wi-Fi protected setup
button is given on the back that enables you to activate wireless protection and
thus setup secure wireless connection in minutes.
To test the performance of this router we created an isolated 'N' network
consisting of EW 7177UN USB adapter (for desktops from Edimax) on one end and
the machine connected via Ethernet to the router on the other end. We ran TCP
and UDP checks using Qcheck 3.0; the speed given for a payload of 1000 bytes
using TCP was about 19 Mbps and for a UDP it was about 18 Mbps. Besides this
test, we also transferred a 50 MB file from one end to the other which took 35
seconds. This is about 10 seconds more than the Level One's WBR-6000 router.

Bottom Line: A future ready router that is easy to
install and manage, and performs well too.
