Q) What is the future of online education?

India is said to have the third largest education system after China and United States. There are nearly 26000 colleges for higher education which clearly are not enough to cater to the huge number of youth in the country. Moreover there is a shortage of 3 lakh professors in the higher education as mentioned in a UGC report that was released in August 2011. Apart from these infrastructural issues, quality course content and quality of the faculty are other primary concerns of the Indian education system. The online education is visualized to have the potentiality to fill this huge gap.
