Epson B-510DN Inkjet Printer

Epson B-510DN is a color inkjet printer which is fast, economical and gives you a good printing quality. Its paper tray can hold upto 500 pages which makes sure that you get uninterrupted high-volume printing. It consist of a 2 line screen and few buttons but the printer is controlled best with the software provided.

Installation of the printer was easy and straightforward through the installation wizard. While installing, you can choose either Ethernet or USB 2.0 connectivity but there is no Wi-Fi support. After the installation was complete, we printed pages on A4 size paper. The page containing text only took 3 seconds in printing in the normal mode, but took 9 secs in best photo mode. Then we tried to print an image which took 5 and 26 seconds in normal and best photo mode respectively. However, HP OfficeJet Pro L 7580 MFD (reviewed in June '07) had taken 15 seconds for normal mode. We even tried to print 3 pages in a row and the time taken was 11 seconds in normal mode. The print quality of text and images in all the cases was clear and good.

Epson B-510DN has high capacity print cartridges, so you do not have to change the cartridges frequently and once they are depleted you can use higher capacity cartridges to further lower the cost.

Bottomline: If you are looking for a printer with good quality, speed and low printing cost then this is a good buy.
