Features

The new projector uses 3LCD technology which improves the perceived resolution of the image blurred by the enlargement processing screen. It has 7 preset color modes with optimized color and brightness (luminance) to suit the viewing such as Dynamic and Living: For use in bright rooms; Natural: For use in a dark room; Stage: For playing video; Cinema: Enjoy a concert video or movie in a dark room; 3D dynamic: 3D bright images with greater modulation than 3D cinema and; 3D cinema: For projecting 3D. Apart from these it has few other key features like Frame interpolation technology, Picture-in Picture, Electric lens shutter etc.

Performance

This is a new high-end THX-certified projector from Epson. Setting it up is quite easy. Just connect it to a power source and content source via its 2 HDMI ports, AV and a VGA port and you are up. One thing you have to keep in mind is that there is no USB port to play the content directly. On the top are the optical lens shift controls that allow the lens to be adjusted horizontally and vertically. But one has to take care of the projection distance.

The EH-TW8200 is capable of projecting anywhere between 30"-300" inches and the user needs to decide the projected screen size and distance while setting it up. It's really easy to set up because of the 2.1x optical zoom and the manual lens shift. Lens shift allows the image to be moved up/down and left/right without physically moving the unit. Equipped with the Lamp Boost Technology, it can be used to project images and videos clearly even in a dull background too. The 2400 lumens lamp project good colours and details, and offer high contrast. Other than playing full HD content, the EH-TW8200 is a 3D projector compatible with most 3D formats. The 3D projection is great and offers good depth. It is also capable of up-scaling 2D into 3D, which looks decent. The backlit remote accompanying with the projector offers all the controls.
