Being an ERP package, Everest Mini ERP is designed to enhance productivity across various departments such as sales, purchase, marketing and customer service. It facilitates workflow and allows better customer-orientation, thereby improving overall management. It has an easy to use interface. 

Some aspects it covers include shipping, receiving, scheduling, dispatching, inventory control, production point of sale, contact management, CRM, management and eCommerce. It can also handle shrinkage control or inventory and order processing.The package offers good presentation of charts of accounts and account balances. Accounting is more or less on standard lines, while the finance section quite notably displays in the accounts payable the aging vendors list and the balance payable based on time period. In e-commerce there is CVV2 security code, which eliminates the possibility of fraud. At the point of sale it can track in store orders in real time. It can integrate with a secure server and process credit-card payments in just about 3 secs. Inventory management has been very well done, and order tracking as well as inventory tracking is very easy and serialized. Thanks to the exhaustive stock area management, it has features such as just-in-time and drop shipping, which will help reduce overheads. Pilferage can be controlled through barcode scanning.

The software has an easy-to-use interface

A point worth mentioning for the marketing module is that it can track ROI (Return On Investment) on advertising. It can also do multi-layered discount calculation for different rates catering to different categories of suppliers. Also, sales commission based on different methodologies such as profit based or sale based can be comfortably calculated. Further, it gives the lead-time of various suppliers, which makes mapping of delivery schedules easy. In payroll the leave section is well depicted. Employee attendance can be customized if crystal report is there. While it allows a purchase order to be modified, it would have been complete if it had a system of purchase-order amendments and tracking.The exhaustive inventory management makes it suitable for retail departments. It can also work for warehouses, but in case of duty paid warehouses there would arise a need for simultaneous maintenance of certain statutory documents as per Indian Excise and Custom laws.

On the flip side, the software can’t do TDS calculations, and does not have a provision for ESI deductions. 

Overall, it’s a good product, but needs to be customized for the Indian market.
