Last year, when we introduced this category, there was a tie between SAP and Oracle; in fact, they were the only two brands to make it to this category. This year, SAP has taken a vast lead with Oracle lagging in its UPI at 40. In fact, customized ERP solutions also have a UPI of 40. A new entrant in this category is

Baan.

So what made SAP forge ahead? Voters say it’s a better-known brand and a good quality product. It also got a good response from the South, where Oracle lagged.
