One of the torch bearers for the Web 2.0 revolution has been blogs, short for
Web Logs. Today, they're all the rage, and the primary reason for the same is
their ease of use and free availability of blog sites. That's why it's more
common for individuals to run their own blogs than have their own websites.
Given its popularity, we decided to add this category to the consumer segment
this time. The winner of this time's Users' Choice Award for blogging sites is
Blogger, followed by Blogspot, Typepad, and Wordpress.
Here, Typepad is the most persuasive brand, and Wordpress has the highest
brand pull, with more consumers likely to switch in to the brand than switch
out. Typepad has the next highest brand pull.
Wordpress enjoys the highest at 62%, followed by Blogger at 42%, Blogspot at
32% and finally Typepad at 38% . Typepad needs to watch out because 38% of its
existing users said they're likely to switch to another blogging site.
