Alonso’s Kimoae-bike frame is seamlessly built without joints for maximum strength. It is lightweight and sustainable, the company stated. The E-bike is powered by Arevo’s 3D continuous carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) and can be tailored to individual riders with an impact-resistant, single-body frame.

Making a splash with its launch in Miami at SimplyEV’s flagship location in Wynwood, the Kimoa E-Bike will cost an initial $3,999. It is being exclusively sold online on the Kimoa website and in-store at SimplyEV and Simply Mac points-of-sale across the US.

The company said that Arevo’s 3D-printing process allows for immense customization. The frame is made-to-order to suit the riders’ heights, weights, arm and leg lengths, and riding positions. With over 500,000 combinations, the Kimoa E-Bike is claimed to be the ‘most adaptable carbon fiber bike available’.

“At the heart of Kimoa’s DNA is our drive to create a more sustainable lifestyle,” Kimoa founder and global ambassador, Fernando Alonso, says. “The Kimoa E-Bike powered by Arevo gives people a curated step towards that active and sustainable lifestyle, tailored specifically for each rider.”

According to Kimoa, each e-bike can be fully charged in two hours, providing up to a 55-mile range. It features integrated data and power wiring throughout the frame, enabling a variety of electronic upgrades.

Additional options include multiple riding styles (road, gravel, commuting or cruising), wheel materials (metal or carbon fiber) and finishes (turquoise, fluorescent, yellow, black, or white).

To celebrate the launch, SimplyEV hosted fan experience events kicking off with a launch party in South Florida. Fans and customers were invited to test ride and design their own custom ‘Kimoa E-Bike Powered by Arevo’, and step into the driver’s seat with F1 car simulators as well as meet and greet with Alonso.
