Foxconn, also known as Hon Hai Precision IndustryCo., will top up wages by as much as,000 yuan per month in December and January for full-time workers who joined at the start of November or earlier, as per the Company statement.

Last week, Foxconn offered similar bonuses for workers concluding to leave its lot, largely to steer out new arrivals who’d participated in violent protests against contagion lockdowns, reported Bloomberg.

Foxconn’s critical need to get assembly lines back up to full speed after a month of dealing with Covid restraints and disturbances shows how desperately they want their workers back in the factory and providing unexpected bonuses. The Zhengzhou campus, which typically houses upwards of,000 staff, is where the vast majority of Apple’s iPhone Pro models are assembled and it has been reported that more than,000 new hires have left after the protests.

Meanwhile, the US company advised this month that shipments of its newest premium iPhones will be lower than previously anticipated. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are Apple’s most in-demand handsets this year, with sales being slowed down during the shopping season.

Apple has said it’s working nearly with Foxconn to restore operations and both companies have expressed a commitment to assuring worker safety.
