Fujifilm India has introduced its new mirrorless digital camera, the "FUJIFILM X-S20," to the market. The X-S20 is a part of the X Series of mirrorless digital cameras known for their compact and lightweight bodies, as well as their exceptional image quality, which is achieved through the company's proprietary color reproduction technology.
One of the features of the X-S20 is its AI-based subject-detection autofocus (AF) system, which enhances its ability to track and focus on subjects accurately. Additionally, the camera has the capability to record 6.2K/30P video, ensuring high-quality video recording for videographers and content creators.
The X-S20 comes with a new high-capacity battery that allows for approximately 800 frames to be captured on a single charge, extending the camera's operating time. This makes it an ideal choice for travel photography where long-lasting battery life is essential.
The camera incorporates a back-illuminated 26.1MP sensor called "X-Trans™ CMOS 4" and a high-speed image processing engine known as "X-Processor 5," both contributing to the production of high-quality images. The X-S Series' large grip provides stability when hand-holding the camera.
Moreover, the X-S20 is equipped with a five-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) mechanism, offering up to a 7.0-stop advantage, helping to reduce camera shake and resulting in sharper images.
The X-S20 supports internal recording of 6.2K/30P 4:2:2 10-bit video and includes a 3.5mm microphone/earphone jack for connecting external accessories to facilitate full-fledged video recording. Additionally, there is a Vlog Mode designed to simplify Vlog production when using the camera with the tripod grip, TG-BT1.
The camera is intended to cater to a wide range of shooting styles, from casual self-portraits to professional-level photography and videography, making it suitable for both experienced photographers and newcomers to storytelling.
Fujifilm India aims to continue promoting photography and the joy of creating through its X Series of mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors, along with its selection of premium-quality lenses like the FUJINON Lens XF8mmF3.5 R WR, released in April of the same year. The dedicated app, FUJIFILM XApp, complements the camera's features and functionalities.
