FusionStor Inova 400 is an all-in-one storage platform that offers Network Attached Storage, iSCSI (IP SAN) & Fiber Storage Attached Network for small- medium sized businesses. The series ensures best-in class space utilization, power efficiency & advanced enterprise features.

This tower model is embedded with security features like data protection, multiple raid management and iSCSI target process. Inova 400 comes with four hardware bays and offers support for SSD, SDD and SATA. The NAS box is powered by an Intel 1.8 GHz dual-core processor with a 4 GB DDR3 memory. The Inova 400 offers maximum 16 TB storage space with 4 bays.

The box is capable of Raid level of 0,1,5,6 and 10 and comes with dual gigabit Ethernet port. In terms of other connectivity options you have 3 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 ports and one in the front of box as well.

The box is black in color and on the heavier side which should not be much of an issue for the targeted consumers of the NAS box.

The GUI web interface of Inova 400 is not really that exciting but is purely meant to get things done without much fuss. For a high priced NAS box, Inova 400 is quite complicated and during our tests we found small issues like drive compatibility, network access which could hinder the day-to-day working in an enterprise.

We tested the NAS Box on an Intel i7 Core CPU, 4 GB RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS. We made use of two NAS drives of 3 TB and 4 TB and just to try other drives we used an SSD and HDD as well. The RAID management required us to format all the drives after which we formed RAID 1 with two drives of 400 GB. After connecting the storage volume to the network we made use of the space to store data and see the data transfer speed and other features. The tests gave us transfer speeds of 97 MB/sec, which is decent.
