There are multiple gaming career options, especially for teenagers who might be passionate about gaming and would want to make a career in the same.

  1. Esports

Even with the PUBG scene blowing up in the country, Indian esports is an untapped market and the scope of recognition and success is very high. There are multiple games available that have a massive scope of esports. Games like Overwatch, League of Legends, DOTA 2, Valorant, etc are very famous games already but there is no ready team from India that has gained recognition on the international level. If you start out at an early stage and keep grinding in these games, you might be able to make it big in the esports scene. There are multiple stages of recognition in esports but once you start, you will start becoming a core part of the community and will be able to become a core member of it. Constantly grinding in one particular game will also attract the attention of big teams and corporations that can come with an opportunity of being a part of the team.

  1. Streaming

If you are passionately into gaming but are not very sure about getting into esports then streaming is a major career choice that you can make. You can play your favourite games while interacting with the community. This option does not restrict you to play only one game and master it. You can always interact with the community and see what they want to see you play. Streaming doesn't require a lot of grinding. You just need to have a good understanding of the game that you are playing. Streaming can also get you a number of sponsors from streaming platforms and hardware companies. If you choose a streaming platform like Twitch then you will also get paid for every subscriber that you gain as the platform runs on paid subscriptions.

  1. Caster

Caster is a lesser-known field in the gaming industry. There are multiple gaming events that take place throughout the year and a caster's job is to analyse the teams and their performance during any tournament and predict their performance in future games. A caster might not be a teenage-looking job but once you start analysing games and gameplay, you might be approached by multiple tournament organizers to become a caster. This will also give you an opportunity to know the players of the game and talk to them about their experience personally.

  1. YouTuber

YouTuber is a completely different profession from that of a streamer. In order to become a YouTuber, you do not have to be streaming games. You can come up with a niche of your own, whether you want to cover tips and tricks or analyse esports players and their gameplay style to enlighten the community who aspire to become like them. Growth on YouTube is significantly faster than on other platforms like Twitch since it is a free subscription platform. You can be vocal about your judgements and criticisms without being concerned about the audience backlash.

All of these professions might take time to boom and become big, but constant hard work and grinding can actually help you become a significant part of the community.
