Garena Relaunches Free Fire in India After its Ban Upliftment

The relaunch of Free Fire India has been announced by Singapore-based online game publisher and developer Garena. Invoking Section 69a of the IT Act, 2000, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology banned the game roughly one and a half years prior to the relaunch. Along with 50 other applications with ties to China, the game was prohibited.

According to analytics company App Annie, more than 40 million of the battle royale game's 75 million monthly active gamers were in India in January. In fact, in February 2022, "Garena's Free Fire: Illuminate" was the most well-liked software to be outlawed in India. The game will be accessible for download throughout the nation commencing on September 5 in its revised form.

Free Fire India features

Garena offers several localized features that the rebooted version of Free Fire offers. It is said to offer features and content specially developed for Indian users. There are also features that promote safe, healthy and fun gaming. These include a verification system that allows for parental controls, game restrictions and expiration reminders.

Indian users Reactions on removal of ban
