Features that set apart this LGA775 socket motherboard include built in TPM
chip with 2048 bits encryption for high level digital data protection, Ultra
Durable 3 technology with 2 oz copper PCB for cooler temperature that enhances
performance and DDR2 1366+ MHz support. Like EG45M-UD2H and EP45-DS3L, this
motherboard also comes with Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced technology that
regulates energy consumption making it more energy efficient. One feature that
adds to network efficiency of this board is dual GB LAN with Teaming
functionality that allows 2 single connections to act as a single one giving a
2x boost to bandwidth. EP45-UD3P also comes with Quick Boost to overclock CPU to
3 different levels with just a single click. DualBIOS as a BIOS recovery tool is
also available as a safety measure. To test EP45-UD3P, we used Intel’s Code 2
Quad 2.66 GHz, 2 GB DDR2 RAM, 120 GB 7200 rpm HDD and Nvidia’s GeForce 9600GTX
graphics card. We tested graphical capabilities of this motherboard using 3D
Mark 06 and it scored 10460 which is less than EG45M-UD2H, reviewed in this
issue. In CineBench R10, EP45-UD3P scored 95 ns which is better than EG45M-UD2H.
Finally we tested the overall performance of this board using PC Mark 05 and
this motherboard was able to score 7317 which is better than EG45M-UD2H.
