With the introduction of the "Highlight" tab and Illustrations tools, Google has added new functionality to its Contacts service for Android smartphones. Recently, Google updated its contact management service with these two new capabilities.

With the use of new illustrations tools, you can create a custom profile using Google contacts.

The new "Quick crops" feature, which displays interesting parts of an image and joins the other color tools once the user selects an image and enters the editor, is available to them. Next to Google Photos and Device photos, the new Illustrations tool is the first tab.

The tech giant has added more options to each of the subcategories since launch, despite the fact that the collections remain unchanged. In September 2021, the "Google Illustrations" tool was made available to Gmail, the first Google service.

Between Google Contacts and Fix & Manage in the Material You bottom bar, Google also added a new "Highlight" tab for its Contacts service.

According to a report published by 9to5google.com, the brand-new Highlights tab launched by Google may be the primary method by which individuals utilize Google Contacts. They could search rather than scroll, and the report stated that the grid is more visually appealing than the list.

How will it work?

Users are presented with a grid of "Favorites" below the search field. These "Favorites" icons consist of four icons arranged in a row, each of which contains four of the users' preferred contacts. From the top-right corner, users can also easily "Add" new ones

Users will find the "Recents" section under "Favorites," which is a two-tab list that starts with "View recently."

While "Added recently" completes the list and is the new user interface's most useful feature,

With the change, Contacts is presently a three-tab application. Meanwhile, a number of Google Pixel 7 owners took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the smartphone's bar glass cracking at random.
