The platform is currently receiving improvements on the web, and a recent update included a redesigned editor with capabilities that will make editing photographs even simpler.

Google Photos now brings different Aspect Ratios

This change was first spotted by the folks at 9to5Google, and now Google should ask you to try out its new editor when you open a photo. Jumping into the new editing menu, the look has been updated with a new Hints tab that offers an easy way to change the colors of your photos using four preset options.

How good is Photo editing tools in Google Photos?

The aspect ratio tab now provides users with preset aspect ratios, making it easy to crop images for different platforms and uses. The next tab contains more detailed adjustments that can be made to the image, such as brightness, contrast, highlights, saturation and more. And the last tab has different color profiles to make it easy to add a certain look to your photo.

Each color profile can be adjusted, providing image fine-tuning and more or more. To try it out, you can go to the Google Photos website using a PC or Mac browser. Just select a photo and there should be a small popup showing where the new tools are, and you should be good to go. Of course, if you're a frequent user of the Google Photos app for iOS or Android, none of these features will seem new because they've been in the app for a while.
