Google Pixel 8 Phone: Heating Concerns

The 4nm Samsung process has been problematic throughout the years, prompting the business to abandon its in-house chipset in favour of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen chips, which have served the company well in its flagship lineup. So, with the new Pixels out, there have been high expectations, and we are finally getting a sense of how the new Tensor G3 chip compares to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the new Apple A-series chips.

The Geekbench findings show that the Pixel 8 series still lags in terms of performance, but it appears that the heating concerns have been resolved at the expense of throttling the processor.

There were reports early this year that the new Pixel phones will finally eliminate the heating issue, and that portion has most certainly been addressed. Throttling performance, on the other hand, does not radiate confidence in the brand and the product, especially since they are selling for well over a lakh on the market this year. We're hopeful that some modification in the thermal management of the Pixel phones will contribute to better battery life. You want a flagship product that can compete with or outperform the best. However, Google must resolve its chip issue, which could influence how customers spend their money on a new phone this year and in the future.

The new Pixel 8 series has been released in India, with the Pixel 8 costing Rs 75,999 and the Pixel 8 Pro costing Rs 1,06,999. There are certain bank offers that lower the prices, but the levels and stakes are substantially more significant at this level.
