Google Play Rewards- A List of Winners in the Game Category

Google recently announced the winners of its Google Play’s Best Awards in various categories.

The winners in the game category were as follows:

Best Game- Apex Legends Mobile

The iconic hero-based console and pc battle royale released its mobile version this year on 17 May. Being a heavily anticipated release, it took off instantly and has now has more than 10 million downloads on Google Play Store. The mobile version provides a drastic increase in accessibility for those without sufficiently powerful PC’s or those who travel a lot.

User’s Choice Game/ Best Pick up and Play- Angry Birds Journey

Rovio Entertainment has built a franchise around this iconic game. They have once again used their tried and tested concept to cure the boredom of many and win in the 2 categories. Whether on the train to work or lying-in bed with some time to kill, the satisfaction provided by destroying those wooden planks never fails to disappoint.

Best Indies- Dicey Dungeons

A fast-paced deck-building roguelike where you roll dice, fight monsters, find loot and level up your team to take down Lady Luck.

Best Story- Diablo Immortal

Another addition to the famous series. Set between the events of Diablo 2 and 3. It has a captivating story and spectacular boss fights, topped off by a multiplayer mode to enjoy with your friends.

Best Ongoing- Clash of Clans

One has to have been living under a rock to not have heard of it. Since August 2012, it has amassed over 500 million downloads. The famous strategy game has grown large enough to have a culture and community of its own.
