Google has announced that Android Wear platform will be made available to developers in the form of SDK (software development kit) in the coming months while the preview platform is already posted on Android Wear developer site.

So what can one expect from a smartwatch that is powered by Android Wear? The post informs that one will be able to receive voice calls, accept Ok Google command, wide range of health-centric sensors on display, add notification pages and a lot more. Beginning its journey in the smartwatch arena, Android Wear will be available on devices from brands like HTC, Motorola, Samsung, Broadcom, Asus, LG, Qualcomm and Intel among others.

While Samsung and LG have already launched their wearable devices across the globe, the fact that they are open to utilising Android Wear seems to indicate that Android's supremacy will play a huge role in encouraging/attracting more developers thereby translating into offering customized user-friendly products.
