According to The Verge, many publishers share solutions for customers to continue playing their games on other platforms even though Stadia users are going to lose access to all of their saved games and progress.

In October 2018, a closed beta of the cloud gaming service went live, and in November 2019, it went live to the general public. In addition, Google is offering a full refund on all Stadia hardware, games, and add-on content purchased from the Stadia store. The processing of refunds has begun since November, and the report states that most refunds will be processed by January 18.

In the meantime, cross-device notifications and improved playback options for Spotify Connect-compatible devices are said to be among the new media playback features being developed by Google.
