New Update

CorelDRAW 12 graphics suite combines three graphics design solutions, CorelDRAW 12, Corel PHOTO-PAINT 12 and Corel R.A.V.E 3. CorelDRAW 12 is an illustration and page-layout application. Corel PHOTO-PAINT 12 is for digital imaging and Corel R.A.V.E 3 for creating motion graphics in Flash format. CorelDRAW 12 comes with many new features, such as the ability to layout objects precisely using dynamic guides and Snap to Object feature. As for the other two packages, only a few enhancements have been made.

CorelDRAW's smart drawing tool tries to recognize the shape that you are drawing. Once it is recognized, it will redraw it with smooth lines and curves to render an accurate image. For accurate placing of objects there is a feature called Dynamic Guides. This feature tracks the alignment of the data as you move the object. Thus, you can easily place the objects in relation to each other and. The Snap to Object feature makes this easier.

CorelDRAW

12 supports more than 100 file formats

Another good feature is Virtual Segment Delete, which lets you delete the segment between intersections of objects. Symbol Manager is another feature with which you can save the graphics as symbols and create a library of them. The library can later be used in other applications. You can have more consistent drawings by copying the list of properties from one object to another with a single click. The features for text alignment and appearance have also been improved. You can select the part of the text object to align for layout. You can also see detailed changes in text regardless of the zoom level.

Color management is also more efficient, since CorelDRAW combines color-management options (Web and desktop printing) in one dialog box. You can create your own color profile from the object or other applications and save it. It may happen that color displayed on the monitor does not match with the color of the scanned image. The color-management option lets you reproduce exact colors. CorelDRAW supports more than 100 file formats, which you can easily share. You can also incorporate multiple languages in a single application. Also, there is a unicode support for UTF-8 and UTF-16 encoding methods. This will enable the software to store more than 65,000 unique characters. Using CorelDRAW's export/import options you can export designs to Office and to AutoCAD DXF/DWG file formats.

There are only a few features added to Corel PHOTO-PAINT 12 and Corel R.A.V.E 3. Corel PHOTO-PAINT 12 adds a Touch-up brush feature to remove defects, such as dust and wrinkles, from the image. It also has a VB-based development environment. Thus, you can develop VB applications using this suite. Corel R.A.V.E 3 comes with features similar to that in Corel DRAW 12, with an addition of the option to filter fonts. For instance, if you have a document in Hindi and your system doesn't have this font, then the filter font feature gives you an option to convert the font to an available one.

In all, CorelDRAW 12 suite offers designers customization options for vector graphics development. The suite comes with additional software such as CorelTRACE 12, Corel CAPTURE 12 and Bitstream Font Navigator. You can check for regular updates.
