We have a clear winner for this category this year with IBM securing the number one position in both the segments. While it retains its number one position in the 500+ employees segment, which is the same as it was last year, in the 100 to 499 employees segment, IBM has moved one position upwards to number one, ousting HP-Compaq from its last year's position.

In the 100 to 499 segment, HCL makes an entry into the club with 22% respondents recording it as their current brand. Dell retains its last year's position of number three even this year. Dell also happens to enjoy the maximum level of brand loyalty with 94% users deciding not to change the brand in future. Dell users have recorded reliability of product as the most important factor for this decision. Assembled servers also retain their position at number four, the same as last year, with a recorded brand loyalty of 74%; and the ones considering a shift are looking at Dell, HP, IBM, and Acer as the most likely future brand at 5% each. HP lost its number one position to IBM but continues to enjoy a brand loyalty of 79%, with the likely users to shift not clearly stating which brands they would prefer over HP. IBM moved to number one position this year, and has a strong brand loyalty at 84% stating that they are most likely to stick with IBM in the future.

In the 500+ employees segment, the results are the same as last year — IBM at number one, HP-Compaq at the second position, and Dell at the third position. However, there is a noticeable dip in the index score of HP-Compaq when compared to last year. Last year, it was recorded at 90% while this year it stands at 70% respondents. HCL makes an entry into the club this year, filling up the fourth spot with about 34% respondents. However, in brand loyalty, HP tops the chart with 90% users deciding to not shift brands, closely followed by Dell at 89%.
