The post recession market has always seen a huge requirement and subsequent
deployment of multiple IT solutions, Hexapower is one instance of such solutions
implemented to address business specific needs. For Hexaware managing the
finance efficiently through a system became major need of the company.To deliver
financial automation, old accounting systems were replaced with the industry
standard ERP. This resulted in the elimination of reconciliation efforts leading
to reduction of support manpower cost. Also there was a reduction in revenue
leakages which further resulted in better operational efficiency. A travel
management system was deployed which ensured systemic control on the travel
approval processes. Eventually a new project organization was structured to give
a top-down, business-centric approach to automation. For getting a systemic
tracking of leads, opportunities, orders, visibility, sales prognosis, the
dashboard layer was built around the CRM. That provided various slice and dice
views to the sales heads & top management resulting in more appropriate forecast
of revenue guidance to the markets. The hurdles that came in the way included
massive cleaning up of base business data, avoidance of multiplicity of data and
codes. Formation of cross-functional representatives significantly helped in
aligning the automation in line with the business priorities.
