High-end Servers

Last year there was tough competition between IBM and Compaq for network servers. This year, having divided the category into two, IBM has a comfortable lead in high-end servers. Most people who voted for IBM gave good quality as the top reason for choosing it, followed by brand popularity. Compaq’s voters gave better service as the top reason. IBM enjoyed equal support from all four regions, while Compaq was strong in the North+East. The largest supporters for IBM were from SMEs and corporates, while most software firms supported Compaq.
