The upgrade comes just a week after Apple released iOS 17.2 with the Journal app, which was initially revealed at WWDC 2023. Apple hasn't released an update for iPadOS, but macOS Sonoma has been upgraded to version 14.2.1, which includes a remedy for a screen-sharing error, according to the Cupertino company.

You can now update to iOS 17.2.1 if you have an iPhone XS or newer model

According to the company's security releases website, you can now update to iOS 17.2.1 if you have an iPhone XS or newer model. The current security update, like iOS 17.1.1 and iOS 17.0.2, has no published CVE (common vulnerabilities and exposures) entries. Apple advises that all customers update to iOS 17.2.1 even though release notes do not specify which bugs have been fixed.

You may install the 240MB update on your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Update Now. If you have allowed Apple to download iOS updates automatically, you may see an Install Now button that will restart your smartphone if its battery is fully charged.
