HP Elitepad 900

The Elitepad is a Windows 8-based tablet which looks similar to the HP Envy X2. To enhance its usability, it comes with additional accessories like a docking station, expansion jacket, connectivity ports, keyboard, stylus and memory-card slots.

The ElitePad 900 has a 10.1-inch multi-touch display with Gorilla Glass 2, which supports a resolution of 1280x800 pixels.

The tablet is powered by a dual core Intel Atom processor (1.8 GHz). It has 2GB RAM and is supported by an ample 32 GB internal storage. The tablet has plenty of connectivity options, including 2G, 3G (via SIM), 3G USB modem support, Bluetooth and WiFi. There is also an 8 MP camera to capture high quality images. There are several useful security software pre-installed on the tablet, which include Security Manager, Credentials Manager, Password Manager, Computrace, Sparekey, Drive Encryption, HP BIOS Settings, and Device Access Manager with Just In Time Authentication.

In our performance tests, the tablet showed average results but then you shouldn't expect too from an Atom processor. It starts quickly with a boot up time of 13 sec which is nice. For the CPU, database & IO operations, memory transactions and processing efficiency, it scored 1310 pts with PC Mark7 benchmark, which means it performs impressively in routine tasks. It has a very responsive touch. The text and images appear sharp and the videos look vibrant. It provided an impressive backup time of more than 8 hours which is superb for any device.
