This is a hybrid pc with a detachable keyboard, plenty of ports on the keyboard base and a secondary battery in the tablet. It runs on Intel Atom's latest Clover trail processor, has the standard 1366x768p display and 64GB SSD, which is too less for a laptop but good enough for a tablet, which means, it's more of a tablet with a keyboard than an ultrabook with a detachable screen. However, the Atom-based processor doesn't offer much in terms of performance, also it hanged on a few occasions.

X2 is elegant and sturdy with a metallic form factor, making it heavier (at 1.4kg) than Lenovo Yoga 11 (1.2kg) or Acer Iconia 510 Tab (0.68kg). It has HDMI, USB, headphone jack, proprietary charging, SD card reader, micro SD, external volume buttons on the display and has dual cameras- 8 MP on the rear and 2 MP on the front. Beware though that the display is heavier than the base and even a slight push sends it toppling backwards. Also, the clip that holds the display to the base seems wobbly. It has a secondary battery, like Acer iconia W510, and gives a back-up of upto 12 hours.

It's quite slim, feature-rich and good-looking. However, at Rs 59k for the hybrid, an Atom based processor is not advisable. Where it disappoints basically, is its performance and weight, and even as a standalone tablet it weighs 650gm, which is more than the iPad.

Bottomline: Instead of paying Rs 59k for this Atom based hybrid, go for a lesser priced Acer Iconia W510 (48k) or a powerful Samsung Series 5 ultra-book or use the new iPad with a keyboard.
