Performance powerhouse, period! This printer's specs and price were far higher than those of the other printers. With a rated duty cycle of 200,000 prints per month and a print speed of 45 PPM, this printer is suitable for very demanding workgroup environments. To facilitate the same it comes with three input paper trays with a total capacity of 1100 pages. You can also add additional trays to increase the number of sheets to 3100. The printer has 64 MB memory that can be expanded to 512 MB to increase productivity of the printer. It supports a maximum resolution of up to 1200 dpi.

The printer also has a rich feature set. It comes with a built-in Ethernet embedded print server making it easy for network administrators to manage the printer over the network. It can send out e-mail alerts in case of problems. It can accept e-mail and print them directly. You can even define access control lists to control who can print from this printer and who can't. It also has other security features wherein you can block off Telnet access and disable other non-secure protocols. It has a comprehensive Web interface that can show you the printer's status, security, and even let's you configure different protocols. At its price, we expected the printer to ship with an auto-duplexer unit, rather than make it an optional accessory. 

The printer has a high running cost of Rs1.50 per print. Overall, it's a good choice for workgroups with heavy duty printing requirements.
