This is a plain vanilla color printer with an automatic duplex mode. The body is a combination of black & white shades and the control panel is conveniently placed on the top right side with minimal buttons. The driver starts to install automatically when the printer is connected to a PC through a USB cable. It has a speed of 17 ppm and time taken for first print out is 19 sec in both B&W and color modes. The printing is of rich color quality with resolutions up to 600 x 600 dpi in both modes. An interesting feature of this printer is the eprint facility that allows you to send files from anywhere in the world to an email ID provided by HP. From there on the files are sent to the printer. So, in effect, it saves you the hassles in installing the printer driver on each and every system you want to take printouts from. However, one of the drawbacks is the lack of wireless printing facility. But as compared to its predecessor, the HP LaserJet Pro CP 1525n color printer, it is speedier, even though the rest of the specs remain the same. It has auto on/off technology which makes it energy efficient. Still, we feel the overall speed of 17 ppm is not recommended for business use.

Bottomline: Overall, a quality color printer that performs with ease and at a speed of 17 ppm.
