New Update

This is actually a personal MFD, and at Rs 10,000, it’s the cheapest one available. While the MFD is quite compact and lightweight, there are a couple of things that weren’t very appealing in it. For one, there’s no LCD panel on it. All it has are a bunch of LED indicators and a LED counter. The counter is meant to indicate the number of copies you want to take from the MFD, and the maximum is 9. If you want to print more than 9 copies at a time, then you have to do it through the software.

Besides that it has an array of 8 buttons, all of which, surprisingly, are unlabeled. This makes it very inconvenient to use the

MFD.

The MFD gave good quality printouts, both color and monochrome. However its print speeds weren’t that good, taking around 5 ppm for full-page text prints and around 10 minutes to print a full page color graphic. Another problem we faced occasionally with the MFD was that if you place less paper (about 10) in its input tray, then the feeder pulls more than one paper at a time. This causes paper jams, which then has to be manually cleared. Scan results were quite good, taking just 35 and 40 seconds to scan a full page of text and a full page color graphic respectively. Copying speed were also average.
