Idea launches 3G enabled Android smartphone ID 4000 at Rs.4,999

Idea Cellular launches its latest entry level 3G enabled smartphone ID 4000. The latest phone is priced at Rs 4999 and comes bundled with data plans for Indian customers.

The phone comes with a special offer for existing 3G users who have to shell out Rs. 259 for 1.6 GB of 3G data that also includes Idea TV access for three months.The same package is priced at Rs 261 for new customers.

ID 4000 boasts a 4-inch 320*480p HVGA display and has a 3.2 MP camera at the back. The phone runs on 1 GHz dual core processor probably of Mediatek (not yet confirmed) and has a 512 MB RAM. The low budget phone is powered by a 1500 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean OS. It offers users 512 MB of in-built memory, which can be expanded further with a microSD card.

Idea has launched the phone in the same 11 circles where it claims to have sold 7 lakh 3G phones so far. With the launch of ID 4000, Idea cellular now has 16 members in their 3G smartphone portfolio.

The Idea ID 4000 will be launched in various states across India such as Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh amongst others.
