These days, truly wireless earbuds (TWS) are the craze in wireless audio. Initially only available in the premium market, they have recently moved down the price scale and become more accessible to all consumers. Now, one may anticipate paying less than Rs. 3,000 for a respectable pair of TWS; this is not a price that would "burn a hole in your pocket." If this seems excessive (and sometimes does), you can get a set of wireless earbuds for less than Rs 1,000 and still enjoy some respectable music.

In the Indian audio market, iKodoo is a newcomer. They have released two TWS, one of which is a premium offering, but it's the other one that we're interested in. The iKodoo Buds Z was initially released with an official price of Rs. 1,699, but ever since then, they have been offered for less than Rs.1,000. For Rs. 999, you can easily find these on Amazon.

The iKodoo Buds Z

The iKodoo Buds Z is different from a TWS that stands out in a crowd. The Buds Z are stored in a pebble-shaped, rounded-edged plastic casing that flips open to show the buds inside. The front of the case includes extremely minimal iKodoo branding, with a bit of LED light directly below it. For charging, there is a USB Type C port on the bottom. You'll see the buds resting in their charging stations when you open the case. Magnets inside these areas make putting the buds back in their proper place easier. The Buds Z has an in-ear design with circular heads, capsule-shaped stems, iKodoo branding, and an LED light.

Weight and Body

iKodoo Buds Z each bud is lightweight. The buds and case weigh only 34 grams. The iKodoo Buds Z buds are light and can be used for hours without feeling heavy. Much of the credit for their lightweight must go to their plastic construction—full marks to their lightweight build. They are comfortable to wear and give no aches.

There is no getting around the fact that the build looks and feels like the price tag. The case flap will wobble once you open it, and the buds in your hand will feel ordinary. The iKodoo Buds Z Earbuds have a stem shape and are compact. The earbuds have an IPX 4 rating, protecting them from water splashes or sweating considering the Indian weather and making them suitable for gym use and other activities.

Connectivity

The iKodoo Buds Z earbuds connect to the phone quickly. They offer 15 mins Bluetooth connectivity. Headphones featuring sophisticated V5.3 technology boost transmission speed and reduce sound signal loss, enabling steady and low latency audio within 10 metres. They offer rapid pairing, have minimal battery consumption, and operate with Android, Windows & IOS.

Sound Quality

The pebble-shaped iKodoo Buds Z earbuds have three different-sized ear tips to fit the ears well and a 3D soundstage. AI ENC also works well for reduced ambient noise during calls, and it works decently. The outside noises are reduced to quite a reasonable extent. A 13.4 mm big composite dynamic driver claims to provide the earphones with balanced bass and treble output. It includes support for low-pitched sound improvement technologies and a triple mode for additional audio enhancements. The bass doesn't feel very comfortable, even at low volume levels. The sound Quality needs to be worked upon, but this is the best we can expect at this price.

Features

You can control the volume, play and pause directly from theiKodoo Buds Z  earbuds. The voice assistant can also be used. The sensors work decently. It's controllable with your fingertips. Talking about the output of the microphones, it could be more impressive. It gives an echoing effect.

Battery

The iKodoo Buds Z earbuds have a battery life of up to 24 hours and offer fast charging for 90 minutes which is again an outstanding feature for Earbuds at that price. It consumes more battery while using the phone; otherwise, it lasts up to 24-28 hours.

Price and Availability

Buds Z costs Rs 1699, as mentioned on the Box. Both TWS earbuds are available on Amazon India.
