In the Bubble

This is a very interesting book written by a remarkable designer who is fascinated by the impact of technology on our lives. The title of the book comes from an expression used by air traffic controllers when they are in the flow and in control of all the surrounding instruments. The author, John Thackara, lays emphasis on controlling things around us by design rather than allowing things to just happen. In this book, he writes about the new design philosophy where lightness, speed, mobility, locality and situation are all part of it.
