Rainbow Six unveil their first Indian operator with Operation Shifting Tides

The main highlights of the new season are its two new operators: Jaimini Kalimohan “Kali” Shah and Ngũgĩ Muchoki “Wamai” Furaha.

Kali Operation Shifting Tides

The final season for Rainbow Six: Siege year 4 is here with Operation Shifting Tides. The new season was announced at Pro League Finals Tokoname, Japan. The main highlights of the new season are its two new operators: Jaimini Kalimohan “Kali” Shah and Ngũgĩ Muchoki “Wamai” Furaha. Kali will be the first Indian Operative in Rainbow Six: Siege.

According to the official website, both of them met in NIGHTHAVEN Special Intervention Group, led and owned by Kali herself. Wamai was her best agent, who will be joining her in Rainbow Six. Kali is an Attacker while Wamai is a defender. 

Kali’s weapon of choice will be the CSRX 300 sniper rifle, which the official site says is “one of the most intimidating” weapons in the game. It is also the first bolt action sniper to have hit the Rainbow Six: Siege servers. The CSRX 300 will be able to breach barricades and hatchets in a single shot and create “big holes in breakable walls”. Her special gadget is the LV Explosive lance, which is the rifle’s under-barrel. This explosive gadget will be able to destroy other gadgets on both sides of breakable and reinforced surfaces.

Wamai’s weapons of choice are the AUG A2 and MP5K.His special ability, however, could be game changing. It is a throwable adhesive gadget called the Mag-NET system, which attracts an Attacker’s grenades and other throwable gadgets to itself. If placed properly, enemies’ gadgets could be used against themselves. Wamai can periodically gain the charge of the gadgets, with a maximum of five. 

Along with the new operators, the Theme Park Maps has been reworked for Operation Shifting Tides. There have been some major indoor changes to the map, including measures taken to prevent spawn peek.  

There have also been changes to limb penetration as well. There are three different types of penetrations now; none, simple and full. 

With the new season, new skins are also going to hit the Rainbow Six: Siege servers and the prices for certain operators have decreased.
