Indian Railway introduces National Train Enquiry System app for Windows Phone 8

Indian Railways launched app for train Indian train travelers who have been bothered about the schedules and unwanted delays can now keep a tap on all the information with a click on their smartphones. Indian Railways have launched a new app called the National Train Enquiry System' for Windows Phone 8. Those who travel quiet often via trains can now use this app to get train-running information in real time for all the trains in India.

With the National Train Enquiry System app by Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), users can check the train schedules for diverted, cancelled and rescheduled trains, spot their train location, arrival/ departure information and much more. A report says, that the CRIS has developed this app with support from Microsoft which keeps you informed with what all information a passenger could require from spotting the train to checking out their schedules. Everything can be done on the go.

For now the app is exclusively available just for the Windows Phone 8 platform but it has been reported that developers are working towards bringing it to other platforms as well.
