This outage comes within a week after Meta's other app, WhatsApp went down globally on October 25. Nearly 3,000 users were affected, according to the outage-tracking website Downdetector. Meanwhile, Meta has further said that the outage was due to a 'technical error'.
Here are the Technical glitches which users faced on opening the Instagram
- We suspended your account on October 31, 2022’.
- The account does not exist and showed up when users tried to recover their account
- Some witnessed a huge drop in the list of followers.
In India, around 30,000 users reported the outage on Tuesday. Users were unable to send messages, update status, place voice and video calls, or even use WhatsApp pay, according to Downdetector.
So if you've been locked out of your account or have recently received a message that your account was suspended, don't need to panic as Instagram confirmed on Twitter that there's an issue that's blocking some users from accessing their accounts so even though the app might say you're banned, it's probably not permanent.
