Every year the Institute of Management in Government conducts about 1200

training programmes in various categories for the State, Central and Quasi

Government Employees. There is a problem in managing the huge number of courses

which are simultaneously run in various centers and districts through out the

state, also tracking and monitoring the progress in conduct of scheduled

programs is difficult. IMG had to do the management of the scheduled training

calendar, modules, resources, course materials and participants for such a great

no. of training programmes every year. After implementing the web based Training

Calendar Management, they over come the following problems: civil servants are

able to get knowledge about the objectives and course content and hence they are

able to locate and identify suitable training programme of their choice. Online

application facility in the web page gives facility to apply for the selected

training programmes and delays in communication for getting nomination,

selection and confirmation of participants could be minimized. Trainers are able

to monitor and take corrective measures in time with the help of the

departmental training managers to conduct scheduled training programmes. Some of
