Intel AI Global Impact Festival- The First Edition

The first Intel AI Global Impact Festival was launched on October 15, 2021. The virtual festival is fast becoming an unparalleled celebration of the wonders of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and will continue to vow the audiences till October 30, 2021. With participation from 20 countries from around the globe, more than 200 AI-led social impact innovations on display and awards worth USD 200,000, the Intel AI Global Impact Festival is the place to be whether you are a student, educator, an institution or a government body looking to adopt, demystify and democratize AI.

The mega event that holds the promise of having something for everyone, age and technical inclination no bar, has already attracted a footfall from 115 countries in its initial days.

A visitor can- Celebrate, Learn, Compete- at the virtual platform, thus enjoying the offerings of this Festival in more ways than just one. Listen to the youngest Intel employee, 17-year-old Ria Cheruvu on AI Ethics who leads a team at Intel on developing practices for responsible use and implementation of AI. Visit the platform to see how students, from schools across participating countries like Singapore, South Korea, Russia, Poland, Italy, Portugal etc, are using AI to come up with solutions to social and economic issues, around them in the AI Impact Creator category. These range from an AI reading Assistant (India), Drone controlled by gestures (Germany), Visual assistance for the visually impaired (USA) to a Social distance app (Japan).

To witness how educators from around the world are using AI to augment teaching as well as other noble approaches to integrate AI into the curriculum, you can check out the AI Impact Shapers category segment in the Compete section. Here you will find teachers sharing their best practices on how they are contributing to make their country ready for an AI revolution by helping create an inclusive AI ecosystem.

In the Celebrate section, visit the Leader Series to listen to the insights from the who’s who at Intel and witness best practices adopted by government organizations in creating AI readiness via the AI Impact Multipliers segment.

Under the Learn category, undertake a micro-learning module called Demystifying AI and Intel Distribution of OpenVINO Toolkit and earn an Intel certificate on completion. Or just drop in to attend an expert-led workshop on AI Ideation skills in the same section.
